Overview
Sofia Backstage® Mini Head-end for Mobile TV offers operators and service providers a single box platform to test, demonstrate and trial mobile TV and interactive services in a very simple way. It is a complete end-to-end system including all necessary hardware, software and service examples with content authoring and management system to create a DVB-H broadcast signal. It’s also suitable for interactive content use with DVB-H terminals.
Mobile TV Services are created and managed with Sofia Backstage® Service Manager for DVB-H software suite which is included in the Kit. System operation is easy with Internet technologies. Interactive service examples include SMS, MMS, Voice call, email and http-link interactions. Solution includes also filecasting functionality with included Java-based interactive service examples. The OMA BCAST compatible ESG generator supports both broadcast delivery and interactive channel allowing content to be distributed simultaneously on the broadcast and on cellular network. Tv and Video Servies and File Download Services hosted in Sofia Backstage® are packaged into DVB-H network with IP encapsulater and mpeg-2 multiplexer by the internal DVB-H transmitter made signle available to nearby devices – all with one box.
